Rivers & Ridges is a husband-and-wife-owned fly fishing guide service dedicated to helping anglers experience the best of Northwest North Carolina and Southwest Virginia. We offer guided fly fishing float trips, wade trips, lessons, and classes on the New River and surrounding mountain waters, specializing in trout and smallmouth bass fishing. Whether you're picking up a fly rod for the first time or looking to refine your skills, our goal is to create memorable days on the water through expert instruction, local knowledge, and a genuine passion for fly fishing.

Guide Trips

Whether it's your first cast or your thousandth, our guided trips are designed to help you learn, explore, and enjoy a unforgettable day on the water. Float or wade with a trip tailored to you.

Classes

Build your skills and confidence through hands-on fly fishing classes. Dive deeper into casting instruction, fly tying, fundamentals and introductory on-the-water techniques.

Destination Trips

Join us on carefully curated group fly fishing trips to bucket-list destinations for the fly angler. Designed around legendary waters, great fishing, and true hospitality.

Far and away the best guide experience I've ever had. I've been on plenty of float trips and none of them have been as good as the experience we had with Nick. Great trip with my friend Aaron who has been all over the United States on fly fishing trips and he agrees this was the best guide experience he's ever had also.
